When conditions permit, live bait is used to attract larger predators. From late August to November, trolling is combined with inshore trolling to catch skipjack tuna, dorado, frigate tuna, frigate tuna, barracuda and amberjack. For those looking for more excitement, offshore fishing offers exceptional opportunities during the tuna season, from April to September. Trolling for albacore, swordfish and bluefin tuna is possible from April to July, being the most productive months. Fishing for big bluefin tuna and even swordfish is also possible, especially in May, July, August and September.
