Dorado fishing
Also known as llampuga(Coryphaena hippurus), the dorado has a very peculiar shape with a flattened head, a long dorsal fin and vivid colors ranging from dark blue and green on top to yellow on the sides.
This species prefers the warm and temperate waters of the Atlantic Ocean, Pacific Ocean, Indian Ocean and Mediterranean Sea.
It is an aggressive fish that attacks practically all lures fished by trolling, jigging or spinning. Dorado love to hide under floating obstructions offshore, such as a dead tree, branches or a line. Trolling close to the obstacle or dropping a jig can produce extraordinary results.
Its physiognomy makes it a very fast swimmer. It can weigh more than 15kg and measure one meter in length.
