Sturgeon fishing
Sturgeon is a common name for 27 species belonging to the sturgeon family. They are prehistoric fish of which fossils have been found more than 200 million years old. These living dinosaurs can grow up to 4.5 meters long and weigh more than 800 kg.
Several species of sturgeon are bred for caviar production. This magnificent fish has a smooth, scaleless skin and lives in Europe, North and Central Asia and North America.
The best known species of sturgeon are beluga, white sturgeon(A. transmontanus) and Siberian sturgeon (A. baerii).
