Fishing with Shane in the Sea Toy

As an avid recreational Angler and nature lover from Florida, Captain Shane Jarvis first came to Panama in 1999 on a fishing trip to see what all the fuss was about. He had heard all the great stories about the marlin and tuna on Hannibal Bank and the amazing diversity of the fishery in the Gulf of Chiriqui. After that first trip he became obsessed with Panama. He dreamed of becoming a Panama Fishing Captain and returned many times to fish and explore the country. Shortly thereafter, his father bought property on Isla Paridas to build a house that he would use on his Fishing vacations. Soon after... Shane sent his Boat with the intention of staying for a year and helping to build the house. While the construction of the house was underway, Shane had some time to fish and get to know the area. A couple of years later he got his Captain's license and started running guided trips in the Gulf of Chiriqui. Sport Fish Panama Island Lodge opened its doors in 2005 as the perfect place for Anglers to fish in style in the Gulf of Chiriqui and Panama's world class fishery.
