Rods, reels and tackle as well as lures are provided. Live bait is allowed, but be sure to ask so you know if you are going to fish it yourself. You don't need to buy a fishing license, so you can drive up there and get on board with no problem! Some fish have special rules, including when you can keep them. If you don't know where you stand, ask the Captain. It is always advisable to wear sunglasses and sunscreen (no spray). Hi everyone, I'm Matej, Captain and owner of Violi Fishing charter. I have been fishing since I was 4 years old, when I fell in love with this sport while going freshwater fishing with my grandfather and father in the rivers and lakes of mainland Croatia, where I lived for 17 years. 17 years ago, when I moved to Rovinj, I started to take up angling, which made angling much easier for me because of the advantages of knowing the seabed of the areas where we fish. In the last 10 years of saltwater fishing, I have devoted special attention to Spinning Fishing Techniques, Egg Fishing Techniques for cuttlefish and squid, and trolling with live bait and artificial lures. I am also a cook by training and have been in the kitchen most of my life. Besides the sea and Fishing, it is another great passion and love. When it comes to cooking, of course fish has taken the main place and my professional passion has always been the preparation of fish and fish specialties. I spent many years of my youth working in various restaurants, from small local restaurants to 5-star hotel restaurants and haute cuisine kitchens. It is easy to imagine how interesting combinations and interpretations can be developed from these two areas of interest and passion, don't you think?
