Skipjack or Bonito fishing
Skipjack tuna (Katsuwonus pelamis) have a strong body with black stripes on the sides. Larger specimens can reach 1 m and weigh up to 10 kg.
It is fished mainly by trolling with artificial lures in temperate and tropical waters of the Atlantic, Pacific and Indian Oceans and also in the Mediterranean.
This pelagic fish is often used as (live) bait for marlin fishing.
