You’ll begin your trip on a 30’ Mako open-sea fishing boat, large enough to accommodate 6 passengers. It’s equipped with two 150 HP Yamaha engines and reaches a maximum cruising speed of 20 knots. Thanks to its high-quality onboard equipment—GPS, depth sounder, and radio systems—this boat will take you to the fish quickly and safely. Its extensive fishing gear includes stabilizers, tuna tubes, snorkeling equipment, and a livewell. Throughout the trip, you’ll have a first mate on board who will be happy to assist you with anything you need.
Costa Rica is renowned for its diverse fish species, and Drake Bay is no exception. You can fish for marlin, roosterfish, dorado, snapper, sailfish, and other fascinating species. Using both light and heavy tackle, you’ll catch them through bottom fishing, deep-sea fishing, trolling, spinning, jigging, and popping. Children are welcome on board. Although marlin and sailfish must be released, you can keep the other species and take them home if you wish. The crew will also clean and fillet one of your catches at no extra cost.
You don’t need to worry about what to bring for the trip, because we provide everything. Starting from fishing gear to food and drinks, including licenses, the Captain takes care of it all. All you have to do is pick a date and show up on time.
