My connection to the sea began in 1999, when I started my career as a deckhand aboard fishing vessels. Starting from then, I have built a solid and diverse career path, always linked to life at sea, with dedication, professionalism and constant technical development. Over the years, I have sailed mainly on fishing Boats, operating off the Portuguese coast, but also on missions and voyages that took me to North Africa and the Mediterranean Sea. These experiences have allowed me to face different sea conditions, to master complex navigation routines and to acquire a deep knowledge of the operational requirements of each sea area. My training includes a series of certifications essential to the maritime activity: Angler Course, Coastal Skipper, Electrician on Board, Naval Machinist 2nd Class and General Radio Operator. These Techniques have allowed me to perform highly responsible functions, especially as Chief Engineer, ensuring the operation and maintenance of all mechanical and electrical systems on board. Eventually, I also reached the position of Captain, taking command of the boat as Coastal Skipper, a role I have performed with rigor for several years. In this position, I am responsible for the safety of the crew, the proper conduct of navigation and strategic decision making in the open sea. During more than two decades of activity, I have accumulated thousands of nautical miles traveled, in a career marked by resilience, commitment to the profession and a deep respect for the sea. This comprehensive experience, together with a solid training, gives me today a complete and operational vision of coastal navigation and professional Fishing.
