Rainbow trout fishing
The rainbow trout(Oncorhynchus mykiss) is a freshwater salmonid fish. It has a saltwater variant - steelhead - that is very popular in the North Pacific. River rainbow trout can weigh up to 2.5kg, while lake specimens or steelhead can weigh up to 10kg.
Rainbow trout eat all types of insect larvae and flies, which is why they are a favorite species of fly fishing enthusiasts. The trout is also caught spinning with spoons, jigs, lures, vinyls and natural bait.
