Fishing with Othman in the Pelagic One

Pelagic One is a Polynesian-inspired Wharram catamaran. She is 35 feet long and has an unusual beam of 16 feet at her widest point. The vessel is designed for the feeling of openness, as there is no salon, while still offering you comfort with cushions and pillows placed around the boat to enjoy the expansive views over the ocean and into the sunset. She has a fully functional galley to starboard and comfortable toilets to port.

The waters around Zanzibar are teeming with fish all year round. Sailfish, dorado, tuna and wahoo are caught regularly, with the occasional marlin when we are lucky and the seas are kind. Most of our Fishing takes place around Zanzibar in the Pemba Channel, but we also organize overnight trips to Mafia Island and Lathem Island so you can enjoy the incredible and untouched fishing grounds that these unexplored places have to offer. We are members of the IGFA and encourage catch and release.

Full tackle is provided with Shimano, Fenwick, Harnell or KC rods and Shimano or Penn International reels, loaded with 50lb, 30lb or 20lb mono lines. A bottom rig is also part of our standard equipment on board the Boats. Customers wishing to use their own lighter tackle are welcome. GPS, Fish Finder and depth gauges are equipped on all the Boats. A large selection of lures, Rubber Skirts, Exciters and Rapalas are on board all the Boats.
