Daily tours operate along this extensive mangrove-lined estuarine system that harbors a great diversity of species, such as the famous mangrove red snapper and other varieties, yellow croaker, different varieties of grouper, 3 types of snook the great wrestler and the King of all, the majestic Tarpon. In total, more than 160 species of fish can be caught regularly in this magnificent waterway, its most important tributaries are San Pablo, Rio de Jesus, San Pedro, Caté, San Andrés, Covíbora, Ponuga and Suay, among many others.
It is also a fish nursery, where many juvenile fish, including reef species, will spend a few months of their early lives protecting themselves among the mangrove roots from their natural predators and devouring the abundant food to grow. Spend a total of 8 hours jigging, casting and trolling, gambling in these brackish waters which is the perfect setting for a very early break and find the best catch.
