Fishing with Fabijan in the Traditional Fishing Experience

If you're casting a line in Stari Grad, look no further than Mengo Fishing. Captain Fabijan will be your Guide, which means you'll benefit from years of knowledge and experience. We'll take you to the site of the Fishing fleet in a fast Anglers' boat, where you'll observe the Anglers working in the traditional way, a method of fishing now practiced by only a few Adriatic fishermen. It is a centuries-old tradition of the Radonic family, passed down from father to son through the generations. Visitors will have the opportunity to experience the whole Fishing process, swim in crystal clear bays and even participate in fishing if they wish. With us, you will be able to swim and dive at depths of 3-8 meters among the fish. Fabijan, our experienced skipper and Angler, will accompany you in the sea, assuring you a smooth experience. You will learn about the local fish species, such as dentex, salps, breams and groupers. On the Boat we will provide you with snorkels, masks and fins, as well as an underwater camera for your use. After the Fishing, we will go to a restaurant in the bay where you will be able to taste the fish caught. The fish will be grilled for you and then you can enjoy a picnic lunch by the sea. After lunch, you will have time to swim and sunbathe in the bay, so you can experience and enjoy the island life. The whole Experience will last between 6 and 7 hours, depending on the Fishing spot of the day. Departure is scheduled around 8.30 am from the Tourist Office in Stari Grad, depending on the weather. We will contact you the day before with all the necessary information. These waters are known for dentex, salps, sea breams and much more; with a bit of luck, you will find out for yourself! Depending on the Species you are looking for, you may find yourself fishing with light tackle.
