Pagel or Breca fishing
The bream (Pagellus erythrinus) also known as pagel is a common species in the Mediterranean. It is also present on the eastern Atlantic coasts starting from Cape Verda to Scandinavia. The bream can reach a length of about 50 cm.
Fishing for bream is best done by bottom fishing with worms, cuttlefish, squid or shrimp. Larger specimens are also caught by slow jigging with inchiku. Putting squid or cuttlefish legs on the inchiku hooks multiplies the chances of catching a good specimen.
