Tarpon fishing
The tarpon (Megalops atlanticus) is a silvery hunter that loves to hunt fish and crustaceans in ponds, rivers, harbors, and other shallow waters. They live in coastal waters of the Atlantic Ocean from Florida to Argentina and from Senegal to Angola. The tarpon can grow up to 2.5 meters long and weigh more than 150 kg.
It is one of the most desired species by sport fishing enthusiasts, not only because of its size, but also because of its fighting spirit and strength. It usually makes spectacular jumps during the fight.
Although it can be fished with a wide variety of fishing techniques, the most famous way to catch tarpon is by fly fishing in shallow water.
