Welcome aboard Solimar, my fully equipped 38-foot Rampage sportfishing boat, based at Ocean World Marina in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic. Fishing is more than a profession to me—it's a family tradition that began with my father and grandfather, who taught me from an early age to respect the ocean and develop a lifelong passion for sportfishing. Today, I’m proud to share that passion with anglers from around the world, whether you're an experienced fisherman chasing trophy fish or a first-time guest looking for an unforgettable day at sea.

Puerto Plata is one of the Caribbean's top deep sea fishing destinations, offering year-round opportunities to target some of the region's most exciting game fish. Depending on the season, our waters are home to Blue Marlin, White Marlin, Mahi Mahi (Dorado), Wahoo, Yellowfin Tuna, Sailfish, Barracuda, King Mackerel, Bonito, and many other prized offshore species. Every trip is tailored to the current conditions, maximizing your chances of enjoying a productive and exciting day on the water.

The Solimar has been designed to provide the perfect balance of performance, comfort, and safety. Powered by twin diesel engines, she features a spacious fishing cockpit equipped with a fighting chair and fighting belt, long outriggers, tournament-grade Shimano Tiagra 50W to 120W tackle, a convenient transom door leading to the swim platform, and a comfortable cabin with sofas where you can relax between bites. The elevated tuna tower flybridge offers excellent visibility while trolling and provides an outstanding vantage point during the action.

You will be accompanied by a professional crew consisting of myself as captain and an experienced first mate. Together, we are dedicated to providing a safe, friendly, and professional fishing experience while helping anglers of all skill levels make the most of their day on the water.

Your fishing charter includes hotel transportation within Puerto Plata (additional charges may apply for locations outside the area), a selection of fresh snacks and seasonal fruit, as well as beer, bottled water, and soft drinks to keep you refreshed throughout the trip.
