FAQS Home

A fishing charter is a guided fishing trip where you hire a professional skipper or guide to take you out on a boat to fish.

On a fishing charter trip, you should bring sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, comfortable footwear, and personal items like a camera and ID. Aa cooler for storing fish is a nice-to-have. On most charters fishing tackle is provided on board (check this during the booking process though). Feel free to bring your own tackle if you want :-)

The cost of chartering a fishing boat varies depending on location, duration, boat size, and services provided. Prices can range from a few hundred dollars to several thousand dollars.

Tipping on a fishing charter is customary and generally ranges from 15% to 20% of the charter cost, but it can vary based on your satisfaction with the service and locality of the charter.

Wear weather-appropriate clothing, including layers and a rain jacket if necessary. Non-slip shoes or deck shoes with good traction are recommended. Don’t forget your cap :-)

A fishing license is typically not required when chartering a fishing boat, as the captain or guide holds the necessary licenses for the operation. However, it's essential to verify this with the charter skipper beforehand.
