Fishing with Vicen on the White Shark Fishing company

There’s a fish with your name on it in Arona, and WhiteShark Fishing Company Tenerife will help you catch it! Having spent many hours on these waters, Captain Vicente can tell you all about the local fishing grounds.

Species such as bluefish, yellowfin tuna, great barracuda, grey triggerfish, squid, dentex, mahi-mahi, amberjack, wahoo, bonito, bigeye tuna and more are on the cards if conditions are right. For these species, you’ll likely be trolling and bottom fishing using light or heavy tackle.

Children are welcome, so do bring the whole family along! If you don’t have your own child-sized life jacket, be sure to ask if there’s one on board. Feel free to bring your own snacks to keep everyone happy and energised!

Capt. Vicente welcomes you aboard a 25’ DIPOL 25-CC Open centre console with space for 6 passengers. It’s equipped with all the essentials no fishing boat can do without. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures. Live bait is available, but be sure to ask about it so you know whether you’ll be catching it yourself.

A First Mate will be on hand to ensure everything runs smoothly. It’s customary to tip the First Mate 10–20 per cent to show your appreciation.

There’s no need to buy a fishing licence – just turn up ready for a good time! Bear in mind that some fish may have catch limits or closed seasons. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.

You can’t go wrong by bringing a hat, sunglasses and sun cream. Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is permitted in moderation, provided you avoid spirits and glass bottles. Food and some light snacks will be provided on board.
