These waters are known for Dentex, Gilt-head (Seabream) in bottom fishing, and light tackle trolling for Skipjack, Mahi Mahi, Little Tunny (False Albacore), and White Marlin. Heavy tackle options target Blue Marlin, while drifting offers the chance to catch impressive Blue Shark, Mako Shark, Thresher Shark, and more.
From late June to the end of July, the main focus shifts to Giant Bluefin Tuna, found in huge schools and targeted with heavy tackle trolling. With any luck, they'll make your reel scream.
Your adventure begins aboard a San Remo 25' sportfishing boat that holds up to 4 passengers. It comes with outriggers, a fighting chair, and all the essentials. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Rods, reels, and tackle are ready for you, along with lures. Live bait is available, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.
Before coming aboard, you will need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
It's never a bad idea to bring sunscreen (non-spray) and sunglasses. There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation; just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will also be some light snacks provided on board.
