4/5 Very Good
VALIANT SPORT FISHING 6.30 equipped with a 150hp Mercury engine, a 36v front-mounted Motorguide electric motor, and a Garmin GPSMAP 1223 XSV fish finder, allows me to take things to the next level and venture out in pursuit of all types of fish — from Bluefin Tuna with bait and live bait, to targeting seabass, leerfish, bluefish (tassergal), and various sparidae species.

🎣 A Fisherman’s Journey – A World That Inspires Me!
My name is Alexandre Coccallotto, and I was introduced to various types of fishing at a young age by my grandfather. Learning to read the currents, find natural shelters, and understand fish behavior made fishing for me a respectful exchange with nature—especially in the beautiful and generous region of Camargue, which I believe is essential to the well-being of modern man.
At 20, I dreamed of fishing year-round—and if I could, every single day.
My career as a Territorial Sports Educator allowed me to develop strong listening skills and the ability to pass on knowledge. Today, I use fishing as a means to transmit values and life skills in action.
My approach is to identify each participant's technical expectations, skill level, and personal needs, then help develop their abilities and inspire them toward success.
Uncovering and nurturing sporting and technical talent is one of my top priorities.
I began by teaching surfcasting, and was sponsored from 2014 to 2017 by YUKI, the world champion brand in this discipline. I continue to teach this method today, as it’s rich in learning opportunities.
Alongside surfcasting, I also practice and introduce many beginners to lure fishing, both from shore and by boat, in saltwater and freshwater. As of now, lure fishing and live bait fishing are my primary techniques.
🚤 My Boat & Equipment (2023)
My current boat is a VALIANT SPORT FISHING 6.30, equipped with:
150 HP Mercury engine
36v MotorGuide front-mounted electric motor
Garmin GPSMAP 1223 XSV fish finder
This setup lets me target a wide range of species—from Bluefin Tuna on bait and live bait, to hunting for European seabass (Bar), Leerfish (Liche), Bluefish (Tassergal), and various Sparidae species.
Since 2017, I’ve also used a Zeppelin 22Vpro, which allowed me to fish alongside experienced anglers, tracking Bluefin Tuna and Bonitos. I’ve been fishing Bluefin Tuna since 2010 as a licensed member of the FPPM.
🎣 My Passion for Sportfishing
The sportfishing world truly inspires me. Whether it’s working with clubs, tackle shops, local authorities, or brands, I value collaborative partnerships.
My guided fishing sessions are tailored to everyone from beginners to experts, whether from the shore or by boat. Each participant will enhance their understanding, visual observation, and technical approach to fishing.
Guided fishing also helps anglers:
Choose and maintain the right gear
Use equipment safely
Learn to operate onboard electronics such as fish finders, electric anchors, trolling motor mounts, live wells, and rod holders
🐟 Target Species & Seasons
I focus on the best coastal fishing of the season. Our coastline offers incredible species like:
Leerfish (Liche)
Seabass (Bar)
Dentex (Denti)
Other Sparidae
Bluefin Tuna, especially from August to late October
Even some Dolphinfish (Dorade Coryphène) were spotted last season
My favorite saltwater species is the seabass, and I spend a lot of time both onshore and at sea chasing this exciting partner!
Sharing thrills with participants while tracking Leerfish or Bluefin Tuna is also a big part of what drives me.
⚓ A New Project: A Sport Fishing School for Youth
To support the development of this discipline and make it more accessible, I plan to launch a Sport Fishing School at Sea for youth aged 8–18, operating on donation-based participation, starting Wednesdays from September 2023.
This initiative is being developed in partnership with the local fishing club and local government.
