My connection to the sea began in 1999, when I began my career as a sailor on board fishing vessels. Since then, I have built a solid and diverse career path, always connected to life at sea, with dedication, professionalism and constant technical development.
Over the years, I have sailed mainly on fishing boats, operating off the Portuguese coast, but also on missions and trips that have taken me to North Africa and the Mediterranean Sea. These experiences have allowed me to face different maritime conditions, master complex navigation routines and gain in-depth knowledge of the operational requirements of each maritime area.
My training includes a series of essential certifications for maritime activity: Fisherman's Course, Stream Master, On-Board Electrician, 2nd Marine Machinery Engineer and General Radio Operator. These technical skills have allowed me to perform highly responsible functions, namely as chief engineer, ensuring the operation and maintenance of all mechanical and electrical systems on board.
Over time, I also reached the position of captain, taking on the leadership of the vessel as Coastal Skipper, a role that I have performed rigorously for several years. In this position, I am responsible for the safety of the crew, the proper conduct of navigation and strategic decision-making on the open sea.
Over more than two decades of activity, I have accumulated thousands of nautical miles traveled, in a career marked by resilience, commitment to the profession and deep respect for the sea. This comprehensive experience, combined with a solid training path, gives me today a complete and operational vision of coastal navigation and professional fishing.
