Species like Amberjack, Great Barracuda, Bonito, Mahi Mahi, Red Grouper, Blue Marlin, White Marlin, Sailfish, Mackerel, Cubera Snapper, Mutton Snapper, Wahoo, and more can be found in these waters, depending on the time of year. On these trips, you can expect to bottom fish, and troll using light tackle.
Marina El Cid Fishing Charters is a kid-friendly charter service, so get ‘em offline and onto the water! If you don’t have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there’s one on board. And, you can’t go wrong with snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty belly!
Your adventure begins aboard a 29’ Californian sportfishing vessel with room for 4 passengers. It has downriggers and everything else you need for a productive day on the water. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. What’s more, this vessel is wheelchair accessible. Rods, reels, and tackle are provided, along with lures.
There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. Mates often work for tips and it’s customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.
There’s no need to buy a fishing license, just show up ready for a good time! Keep in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. If you don’t know what to expect, ask the captain. It’s always wise to bring sunglasses, and sunblock (non-spray). Drinks are included, free of charge, as well as lunch on the 6 and 8-hour trips. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Now and then the fish might get away, but a day on the water never should. So make it happen, with Marina El Cid Fishing Charters!
