In Hurghada, it’s common to catch Bohar Snapper, Amberjack, Great Barracuda, Mahi Mahi, Coral Trout, African Pompano Jack, Jack Crevalle, Kingfish, Mutton Snapper, Sailfish, Trevally, and more, depending on the time of year. You can expect to do light tackle fishing, popping, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or other specialized techniques used in this area.
You’ll step aboard a 34’ custom boat with a capacity for up to 4 passengers. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. Rods and reels are not included in the charter, so ask the captain about bringing your own or renting some for an additional cost. Be sure to ask about bait and lures as well.
The charter boat covers your fishing license, so you can arrive and come aboard without any hassle. Some fish species have special regulations, including when you’re allowed to keep them. If you’re unsure what to expect, just ask the captain.
Families will be happy to know that kids are welcome aboard. Be sure to ask whether child-sized life vests are available. Essentials to bring include sunscreen (non-spray), sunglasses, and bottled water. Drinks and snacks are included free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but please avoid hard liquor and glass bottles.
Now’s the perfect time to experience fishing in Hurghada for yourself!
