You’ll have access to local waters that only the locals can truly guide you through.
This trip specializes in shore jigging and popping fishing, which is how you’ll get acquainted with these waters. You will jig, pop, or cast. You may need to bring your own gear for this trip or rent some for an additional fee. Be sure to get in touch ahead of time so you know what to expect and can come prepared.
You’re likely to fish for Giant Trevally, Dogtooth Tuna, Sailfish, Great Barracuda, Bohar Snapper, Bonito, African Pompano Jack, several kinds of sharks, Bluefin Trevally, Silver Trevally, and more, depending on the season.
Fish that are legal to harvest are yours to take home—so have a cooler ready in the car! Ahmed welcomes groups of up to 4 people on this guided experience. You’ll make your way to the fishing grounds on foot, so reef shoes are a must.
If needed, transportation may be provided for an additional fee, though you can otherwise expect to meet directly at the fishing grounds. Get in touch before the day to find out more—you can even send a quick message in advance.
More details are available online, including any exceptions that may apply. Layered clothing and appropriate footwear are always encouraged (if you’re not sure what that means, just ask). It’s never a bad idea to bring sunscreen and sunglasses, no matter the weather.
Some snacks and drinks will be available. Anglers of all ages are welcome on these trips, including kids.
And with that, you’re ready to experience the great outdoors in Marsa Alam. Make it happen.
