The pike and sander fishing season in Stockholm and surroundings is from May to October when it starts to get cold again. During the hotter summer months, pike will be active early morning and towards the evening.
Perch can also be caught mainly between May and October.
Salmon are targeted mainly trolling on the lakes or the Baltic Sea. The salmon fishing season around Stockholm usually is June, July and August. Sea trout are mostly targeted during spring and autumn.

For fishing tourists, a personal valid local permit is all you need, there's no requirement for a national approval or license.
Usually, the fishing guides in Stockholm include the fishing license in the price of the trip. They also know the local regulations, which licenses you need for which body of water and bag limits.
Some waters are closed at least during May when the fish are spawning, in order to protect the stocks.
