Gerard Captain Frothy

Frothy embarked on his fishing career as a commercial fisherman at the age of 19 in Trinidad where he was born, learning an insurmountable wealth of knowledge about blue water fishing.
By 1986 he had moved his operation to the sister isle of Tobago with his vessel "Hard Play" and began running fishing charters with the knowledge he possessed.
Frothy followed his dream to fish the waters of Maderia in 1995 to try and catch a Grander Marlin and there started the addiction where he began fishing seasonally here, purchasing the "Pesca Grossa" in 2006.
The business also expanded to Grenada with the "Gold Spoon" and Frothy was by now fishing all over the world.
Captain "Frothy" understands the differing requirements and expectations of each of his clients. Whether you're a first timer, chasing your personal best, after a good time or hoping to break a world record. He's on hand to take your needs into account and individualise your charter experience for you.
Frothy has fished many destinations all over the world as an IGFA Captain and Committee Representative and has had the benefit of picking up techniques and knowledge from professional and local fishermen in many destinations.
He has fished the waters of Trinidad and Tobago, Grenada, Martinique, Barbados, St Lucia, Cayman Islands, Mexico, Bahamas, Florida, Costa Rica, Hawaii, Venezuela, Maderia and Azores.
Frothy is also an experienced Fly Fisherman and Instructor and enjoys a good day out "flinging some fluff". If inland fishing is for you. He's sure to show you the best spots in Madeira.
