Our host will pick up the fishermen at the airport according to their flight schedules and take them to the hotel in Manaus, Amazonas, Brazil. The following day, clients will return to the airport and board a smaller plane to travel to our fishing location, situated on the upper Rio Negro, in the Barcelos region - internationally recognized as the Capital of Peacock Bass Fishing. The scenic flight to the floating barge takes approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes.
For the next six days, fishermen will have the incredible opportunity to explore pristine Amazonian waters, casting for the legendary Tucunaré (Peacock Bass) - one of the most powerful and visually striking freshwater game fish in the world. Guided by our experienced local team, guests will navigate secluded lagoons, winding creeks, and hidden tributaries, each offering its own challenge and reward.
Days on the water begin early, with breakfast served before departure for a full day of fishing. Midday breaks include shore lunches prepared by the crew, allowing time to rest in the shade and enjoy the breathtaking surroundings. As the sun sets, guests return to the boat for dinner, drinks, and stories of the day’s biggest catches.
Between fishing sessions, there are opportunities to appreciate the Amazon’s unmatched biodiversity - from exotic birds and pink river dolphins to the lush rainforest canopy.
On the final day, after breakfast, guests will take the return flight from Barcelos to Manaus, where transfers to the international airport or hotel will be arranged according to flight schedules.
