The Trophy Fish

How else could I start my list but talking about THE “Trophy Fish”? Probably the most wanted fish in the world, the Blue Marlin leads my list for obvious reasons: it can grow up to 14 feet and 2,000 pounds, living as long as 37 years!

Well, I happen to know the right guy 🤫
Captain Edgar is an American-born guide with the skills and the equipment needed to get you on that fish of your dreams. He is strongly committed to Catch & Release to make sure future generations are still able to enjoy these amazing creatures. He won various tournaments over the last few years. He is constantly learning and improving in order to stay ahead of the game.

He is waiting for you in Cap Cana Marina, Punta Cana (Dominican Republic).

We’re talking about a sportfishing paradise

Capt Edgar has tons of experience catching billfish, only this year he has already released more than 200 billfish species.

He is like a Billfish sensei 🤩

Still unsure about Cap Cana? Well, the Billfish Report counts down its Top10 Billfisheries of the Year with Cap Cana Marina being nº1. Over 4.000 billfish were released in 2020 😱

There is one more thing you need to know. The blue marlin season starts in July and it ends in January…

Even though it’s not a short timeframe, don’t let your tight vacation days from work stop you: from March to July it’s white marlin time, which means that you can catch billfish species almost all year round!!

I could talk for hours and hours… Discover more things about them in my website!

In 2020 half the boats in Cap Cana produced astronomical Blue Marlin catches. With 4000 billfish species released last year, the numbers of 2016 have been surpassed. Congratulations to Cap Cana, Punta Cana (Dominican Republic), the #1 Billfishery for 2020.
