The German and the British Government announced that quarantine-free travel would be permitted to the Spanish islands including Gran Canaria, Tenerife and Lanzarote. Grant Shapps, the transport secretary, also announced that a \u201ctravel corridor\u201d will be opened up to the island of Mykonos (Greece).<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to Foreign Office<\/a> “The Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) continues to advise against all non-essential travel to Spain, including the Balearic Islands, based on the current assessment of COVID-19 risks in the country. The Canary Islands<\/a> are exempt from the FCDO\u2019s advice against all non-essential international travel.”<\/p>\n

The German Ausw\u00e4rtiges Ambt<\/a> informed that as off the 24th of October, German citizens would be able to travel to the Canary Islands without having to do a PCR Test once they come back to Germany. 14-Day quarantines aren’t necessary neither after traveling to the Canaries.<\/p>\n

The Canary Islands were removed off the list of non-recommended destinations because now the islands are below 50 cases per 100,000 of the population cumulatively over seven days. Spain and United Kingdom currently have over 200 cases per 100,000 of the population.<\/p>\n

This news is surely a boost for British and German anglers. But also for our captains who are looking forward to taking customers out fishing. At the moment our captains are reporting bigeye tuna in Gran Canaria<\/a>, Tenerife<\/a> and La Gomera<\/a>. The fishing charters<\/a> from Lanzarote<\/a> and Fuerteventura<\/a> have also been catching tuna, wahoo and other nice predators. In November most boats will switch to bottom fishing, but in the meanwhile there’s still a lot of pelagic fish.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
